Lake WeedRoller: Government Findings by the DNR
The DNR Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has issued an official fact finding 39 page report regarding aquatic plant management. I the video below, we give you a quick summary of how the Minnesota DNR surveyed thousands of lakeshore owners over the past several years in order to determine the success factors of many different methods of aquatic plant management in the State of Minnesota. If you have not seen the WeedRoller, just visit http://www.WeedRoller.MN for videos, photos and more.
To watch the video summary of this report, check it out below to get the bullet points.
In summary, lake shore owners that applied chemicals and herbicides were satisfied with the results a dismal 56% of the time. Mechanical harvesting methods were given a 59% satisfaction rating based on the thousands of survey responses.
Now, here is the big new: Lake shore owners in the state of Minnesota who obtained a permit to operate a automated unattended device such as the WeedRoller were satisfied 98% of the time. This survey was conducted 2 years in a row and was filled out by nearly 2000 people and each year the result was the same – 98%. AND not only were they satisfied but they didn’t use potentially harmful herbicides such as 2-4D to accomplish it.
Wow. That pretty much sums it up; Wow.

We purchased the weed roller in 2008 with 3 sections. All I can say is Wow!! It did such a great job I ordered another section. We went from weeds and 6-8 inches of muck to a hard surface weed free swimming area. Watch their video it does exactly what it says!
I would recommend this to anyone with weed and muck problems.
